Job Summary:
As a Senior Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in negotiations, vendor management, and supply chain optimization. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our client’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet the company's procurement needs.
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Vendor Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments, addressing performance issues and ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Cost Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand budget constraints and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Procurement Process Oversight:
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and supplier dynamics.
- Conduct market analyses to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics, to align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the procurement team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor management in the industrial sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
